From decades of installs across the Northeast, we typically recommend clear tops in mid-April through early June and mid-September through October. Clear vinyl can overheat in daytime summer events, so our team will discuss shading, sidewall options, or switching to a solid-white top when temperatures rise. In extreme cold, clear vinyl may become brittle, and below about 45 F the material shrinks, making installation more challenging. That is why we always plan your install with both options in hand.
